My Thoughts:
Hunter's Revenge is the second in The Edinburgh Crime Mysteries series. Although not essential I feel that it might have been beneficial to have read the first book as there is some continuation of characters etc.
Hunter's Revenge opens brilliantly and the author managed to suck me in to the story right away, there are twists and turns aplenty and I was second guessing the plot throughout.
The author has managed to create quite a cast of characters, none of whom were superfluous. DI Hunter Wilson is a great character, as he investigates why his friend George Reinbold was murdered and as the case takes on multiple strands we get to find out more about DI Hunter Wilson.
This isn't the fasted paced crime novel I have ever read but the plot was excellent and came together very well. The case was enough to hold my interest and kept me turning the pages to find out the final answers.
I would certainly be tempted to read more from this series in the future.
