Hold your flying horses!
Barnabas and Wilfred, two earnest but bumbling Victorian detectives, travel through the Nine Worlds of Norse mythology, trying to stave off the impending end of the world, an event which the locals call “Ragnarok”. This time around, however, the intrepid twosome has some help: a brave Viking seer named Brynhild and her flying horse.

Can the two plucky detectives and the fearsome Brynhild outwit those who would bring about Ragnarok? Will they survive the harsh conditions and terrifying creatures of the Norse afterlife? Will they save the world…again?

My Thoughts:

Barnabas Tew and The Case of The Nine Worlds is quite possibly the most quirky and original book that I have read this year, I loved it.

Set in Victorian times Barnabas and Wilfred are a pair of detectives. The mystery takes place within the realms of norse mythology. The imagination of the author is immense and I was utterly transported into the worlds between the pages. The premise seemed initially confusing but I was drawn in right away by the settings and the humour that leaps off of the pages.

I adore these two detectives and they may just be my new favourite detective double act.

A host of wonderful and individual characters make this book an absolute delight to read and I feel privileged to have been invited on to the blog tour.

I haven't read the first book in the series Barnabas Tew and the Case of the Missing Scarab but I most certainly will now.
